Enviro Campers New Zealand information

Enviro Green Initiatives (New Zealand)

The operator of Enviro Campers believes in being a sustainable and environmentally-responsible company. Our strategy is to be leading the industry in this area:
•    To run the most environmentally-friendly motor homes, campervans, and operations in the market
•    To encourage customers to behave in a way that leaves the environment cleaner than when they arrived – and facilitate this behaviour
•    To empower staff to embrace environmentally friendly practises in both their personal and working lives
•    To influence business partners to adopt environmentally-friendly practises.
Since our inception 15 years ago, the operator of Enviro has always been at the forefront of good environmental practice with self-containment initiatives in the fleet and the early use of solar panels. In 2006 they identified the importance of this issue and have worked hard to measure and improve operations from an environmental point of view. Their position of “best in category” has also been a driving force to be a leader for sustainable environmental practises.

The operator's achievements to date include:
1.    Qualmark Enviro Gold rating – First and only campervan and motorhome company in New Zealand to have this certification

2.    Fully self-contained campervans and motorhomes – in accordance with the New Zealand Motorhome and Caravan Association (NZMCA) for our shower and toilet models

3.    Dump Station sponsorship – sponsorship of the NZMCA dump station programme since 2002 to encourage responsible camping and help protect the environment

4.    Euro 4 turbo-diesel vehicles – their entire fleet is manufactured with these diesel vehicles which are considerably more efficient than petrol, with a maximum age of 30 months

5.    Solar panels – in all motorhomes and campervans to reduce electricity used by panels charging the batteries

6.    Water filters – featured in all motorhomes and campervans to reduce the need for purchasing bottled water (estimated to save at least 150,000 plastic drink bottles per year)

7.    Sustainably sourced plywood with alkorcell coating – all vehicles manufactured using environmentally-friendly alkorcell-coated and sustainably sourced plywood to reduce the weight of campers and fuel use, deforestation, and use of harmful toxins

8.    Enviro enclosure sponsorship – at Rainbow Springs in Rotorua to help provide awareness of native endangered alpine parrot

9.    Biodiesel –  the main Auckland transfer coach has used 100% biodiesel since October 2009, as a part of a project to introduce biodiesel into the rental fleet

10.    Fibreglass recycling plant – a partner in New Zealand’s first and only recycling plant of this kind

11.    Measuring their carbon footprint – to understand overall emissions and allow them to monitor and implement positive changes (CEMARSTM certified and audited)

12.    Offsetting corporate emissions – by purchasing carbon credits earned by a NZ wind farm since July 2008 (carboNZeroTM certified and audited)

13.    Wind tunnel testing – on vehicle designs to reduce aerodynamic drag

14.    Enviro reusable shopping bag – provided at pick up to reduce use of plastic shopping bags

15.    Water recycling system – in the Auckland vehicle wash-bay

16.    Recycling – bins provided for customers at depots. Paper, brochures, glass, batteries, plastic and oil are all recycled. Recycling and re-use of returned brochures.

17.    Eco label and long lasting quality products – used to stock vehicles to introduce our clients to eco products and reduce waste

18.    Responsible disposal – of tyres, oil filters and office computers

19.    Providing jobs locally –  by producing motor homes and campervans in Auckland.

Multiple Rentals - Minimum of 7 days
Multiple rentals can be combined to qualify for a longer term rental rate. Australia and New Zealand rentals, as well as multiple rentals within one country, can be combined to qualify if travel is within a 12 month period. If the drop off and pick up of a vehicle occurs on the same day then each day will be charged per respective vehicle.

Standard Excess Insurance Cover
All vehicles come with comprehensive insurance cover. A bond of NZ$ 5,000 is taken to cover the excess in the event of any damage to our vehicle. The hirer will also be fully liable for demurrage - the daily rental rate for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs (max 7 days) - and for replacing or repairing damaged windscreens and tyres. Overhead and under-body damage on the rented vehicle is not covered. The bond can be paid by cash, traveller's cheques or credit card (see section “Important: Bond Payments By Credit Card”). The bond is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition with no damage incurred to the vehicle, with a full tank of fuel, the toilet cassette and waste water tank emptied and no equipment lost or damaged.

Important: Bond Payments By Credit Card
If the hirer does not choose to purchase an Excess Reduction option, a bond of NZ$ 5,000 is taken. This bond is deducted from the customer’s credit card when they pick up their vehicle. When the vehicle is returned undamaged, the excess is refunded. Like other currencies, the NZ Dollar does fluctuate, sometimes by up to 3 or 4 cents in a period of only 3-5 weeks. Fluctuating exchange rates, the difference between buy and sell rates charged by banks as well as bank fees, may result in the amount refunded being different. The operator of Enviro Campers is not liable for currency variations or bank transaction fees which may be payable, depending on the credit card provider.

The operator of Enviro Campers offers the following options to reduce or waive the Standard Excess:

Excess Reduction 1 (Bronze Cover)
Excess Reduction 1 at NZ$ 28 per day will reduce the excess for any damage to the vehicle to a maximum of NZ$2,000. The hirer, however, will be fully liable for demurrage - the daily rental rate for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs (max 7 days) - and for replacing or repairing damaged windscreens and tyres. Overhead and under-body damage on the rented vehicle is not covered. A bond of NZ$ 2,000 is payable at the time of pick up and can be paid by cash, traveller's cheques or credit card: a manual imprint of the credit card will be taken. The bond is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition with no damage incurred, with a full tank of fuel, the toilet cassette and waste water tank emptied and no equipment lost or damaged. The total insurance charge is limited to a maximum of 50 days or NZ$ 1,400.

Excess Reduction 2 (Silver Cover)
Excess Reduction 2 at NZ$ 38 per day will waive the excess for any vehicle damage and the cost of replacing or repairing windscreens and tyres. Overhead and under-body damage on the rented vehicle is also included. A bond of NZ$ 500 is payable at the time of pick up. The bond is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition, with a full tank of fuel, the toilet cassette and waste water tank emptied and no equipment lost or damaged. The total insurance charge is limited to a maximum of 50 days or NZ$ 1,900.

All Inclusive Rate (Platinum Cover)
All Inclusive Rate is available.

The All Inclusive Rate includes:

Terms of booking on this website

Information disclaimer
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:

Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00

The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due.
